This Will Pass Too

I debated on posting this or not because I don't want to be a grump but I just wanted to show you that everyone has their moments and even though my posts are always about cute fashion related things it is not always easy. 

I just wanted to write a quick blog post updating you on my life at the moment! I really have not been motivated to posts blog posts the past two weeks with so much other stuff going on. I was busy with school work and this week I have been busy crafting for big/little and the usual work. While I have had a lot of exciting moments happening recently things have also been kind of "dull" at times as well. It seems in general their is just a lot of stressful moments happening recently. I thought I was going to make this a longer post but honestly I guess all I am trying to say is sometimes the bad things seem to outshine the good but we have to remember it's important to try to stay positive. When disappointing things keep happening it's sometimes hard to be upbeat. I guess it's like the Grey's Anatomy quote "The carousel never stops turing you can't get off". We just have to remember that life doesn't stop turning and eventually the storm will pass!

Friday Favs

What I crazy and exciting week this was for me! This week was midterm week so I was busy studying for exams and getting lots of work done. It also happen to be get to know you week for Big/Little in our sorority so I kept very busy with that too. To add onto all of that I also am so excited because me and one of my best friends are traveling to Florida together in January during our winter break which I know will be so fun. Needless to say I had a very eventful week even though the weather was SOOOO rainy. Always I am home for the weekend to enjoy some home cooked meals and family! So today I thought I would share with you what I am currently loving at the moment!

 

Jack Black Lip Balm: Last week I bought this lip balm at Ulta after my mom had found it online as having high ratings so we decided to try it and this stuff is the BOMB. My lips always get so chapped  but I put this on at night and they feel great in the morning. 

Steal Vs. Splurge: J Crew Vest

Hey guys I wanted to hop on here and write a super quick post to share with you an awesome steal vs. splurge which I have not done in FOREVER. You might have remembered me talking about this checked vest that I saw on Kelly In the City that she got at Marshall's. Well after having no luck in stores on a whim I decided to check TJ Maxx online and they had the vest!!! They also have a bunch of other cute designs too. The best part is they are such a great deal. I ordered one online but I have not gotten it yet though if you are interested check this great deal out before they are gone ;)

Travel With Me: Ithaca, NY

I am finally getting around to posting this long over due travel log sharing with you what I did over the Columbus Day weekend! We left Saturday and stayed until Monday in Ithaca to celebrate my dad's birthday and enjoy some time off. We rented a house in town so we got to do lots of exploring! Like I have done in past blog posts I thought it would be fun to share with you what we did in case you ever find yourself in New York. I have to admit though I was pretty bad at taking pictures so sorry for the lack of pictures. Let me know if you have any questions and enjoy!

Saturday October 8th

We left in the afternoon and drove up to Ithaca. Once we arrived in town we checked into our house we were renting which was nice and convent as it was close to everything around. Later on we went to dinner at Agava which was a VERY good Mexican style restaurant that was not super fancy but a little more fancy than your regular Mexican restaurant. We all enjoyed the food a lot (especially the chips and guacamole)! After dinner we headed to Purity Ice Cream to enjoy some dessert. The best thing about this place is that have a great selection of soy (non-dairy) ice cream which is often hard to come by! 

2016 Fall Essentials

I have been in a mood to shop for lots of fall clothing recently which is bad for my back account but good for looking cute this fall! I have just been loving all the fall clothing that has been coming out especially from J Crew Factory and Old Navy. So today I decided to round up my top nine fall essentials for the this year. These are the basic pieces I couldn't live without this fall. What I love about these items is you can easily create a variety of different looks with just a few basic essentials! Current Favs

I made it home last night and and am going to spend my weekend relaxing with my family. Fall 2016 Bucket List

I am really excited about the fall season that is upon us! I love going to a farm, spending time outside, and doing all things fall related before the death of the winter hits us. I am especially excited to enjoy the fall weather with my family when I am home this weekend for Columbus Day. I am equally excited to be able to do some of these things with friends as well.
